The apprenticeship as a commercial specialist is part of our high school graduate’s programme in Munich as well, and begins each year on 1 September. The final examinations are taken after three years and result in two state-approved qualifications. The gross salary is staggered depending on the year of apprenticeship, and you also receive sales commissions.
The theoretical portion of your apprenticeship in Bavaria is taught at the “Akademie Handel” and is arranged in teaching blocks. In addition to the Munich location, it is also possible to take the apprenticeship programme as a commercial specialist at other locations across Germany. We have locations in Hamburg, Berlin, Düsseldorf, Frankfurt, Bremen, Hannover, Leipzig, Dresden, Cologne, Kampen, Glashütte and Nuremberg. Please note: Outside of the state of Bavaria, the apprenticeship starts on 1 August. The programme culminates in IHK examinations for two state-approved qualifications: Qualified commercial specialist and retail clerk.
In the Bavarian capital, Wempe maintains two representative central locations, one in Maximilianstraße and one in Weinstraße. This is where the practical part of your training takes place.
The core of your apprenticeship as a commercial specialist in Munich is to gain extensive professional experience. You focus on customer support, sales promotion and merchandise presentation. Parallel to the practical training, the theoretical portion is taught using learning programmes and trainings at the Wempe Academy. During your apprenticeship in Munich, you are not tied to this location: If possible, you can get to know another one of your locations in Germany or even abroad during that time.
To qualify for the apprenticeship as a commercial specialist in Munich and our other locations, you need to have the Abitur (German university entrance qualification) or full vocational college entrance qualification.
Then we look forward to your application for an apprenticeship at one of your Munich locations.
